Five IKEA Listings Marked New: Two Dedicated Workstations and Three Bamboo Small-Space Solvers

New arrivals at a glance

1. GULLABERG Desk with drop file drawers

• Best for: Working professionals who manage paper records, contracts, or reference books at home and need a stable worktop.
• Decision: Buy this desk if you have at least 65 inches of dedicated wall run and require integrated file storage. Skip this model if you move apartments annually or live in a walk-up, because the combined packages weigh over 118 pounds 1.
• Price and regional status: Confirmed in the United States at $349.99 under article number 506.205.59 1. IKEA Japan lists a single-pedestal three-drawer configuration measuring 120 × 65 cm at ¥29,990 under article 606.099.43 2. Listings in the United Kingdom and Sweden remain unconfirmed in this check.
• Key specifications: Width: 61" (155 cm); Depth: 25 5/8" (65 cm); Height: 29 1/2" (75 cm); Legroom clearance: 28" (71 cm) 1. The structure uses solid wood legs, honeycomb-core top panels, and particleboard pedestals 1. Total weight is 118 lb 2 oz across two flat packs 1.
• Assembly watch-out: The official manual AA-2649711-2-100 specifies a two-person assembly 1. Aligning the drawer slide runners across both pedestals demands careful measurement before securing the heavy desktop. IKEA advises re-tightening frame fasteners two weeks after setup 1.

2. BRYTNING Desk

• Best for: Small studio apartments where a work surface must fit into an alcove, bedroom corner, or living room perimeter.
• Decision: Buy this desk if you work primarily from a laptop and need an unobtrusive desk that assembles in one box. Skip this desk if you mount heavy dual monitor clamps, because the rear cable shelf limits edge clamping and the paper foil finish scratches under metal clamp brackets 3.
• Price and regional status: Confirmed in the United Kingdom at £59 under article number 205.985.31 3. IKEA US stocks a wider green variant measuring 43 1/4" wide with a wide drawer at $129.99 under article 506.097.50 4. Japanese and Nordic listings remain unconfirmed.
• Key specifications: Width: 85 cm (33 1/2"); Depth: 53 cm (20 7/8"); Height: 75 cm (29 1/2"); Free clearance under furniture: 64 cm (25 1/4") 3. Maximum desktop load is 50 kg; shelf load limit is 10 kg 3. Ships in 1 package weighing 19.30 kg (42.5 lb) 3.

3. STEGESUND Corner shelf

• Best for: Narrow bathrooms, compact showers, or small entryways where floor area is tight but corners sit vacant.
• Decision: Buy this shelf if you need quick-drying vertical storage for rolled hand towels, toiletries, or sponges. Skip this shelf if you require closed moisture-proof storage, as the open slatted structure leaves contents exposed to dust and direct water spray 5.
• Price and regional status: Confirmed in the United States at $39.99 under article number 306.320.11 5. UK, Japanese, and Swedish listings were not confirmed in this check.
• Key specifications: Width: 13 3/8" (34 cm); Depth: 13 3/8" (34 cm); Height: 23 5/8" (60 cm) 5. Built from solid bamboo with stain and clear acrylic lacquer 5. Total package weight is 6 lb 6 oz (2.9 kg) 5.
• Assembly watch-out: Documented in manual AA-2650729-2-100 5. Fastener assembly takes roughly fifteen minutes with the included hex key. Keep all bolts finger-tight until the two triangular shelves sit squarely against the upright legs to prevent twisting the frame 5.

4. STEGESUND Utility cart

• Best for: One-person kitchens lacking counter space, or desk side setups that need rolling caddy storage for stationery, tea gear, and chargers.
• Decision: Buy this cart if you need mobile storage that wheels between the kitchen and work table. Skip this cart if you need an ultra-narrow gap filler under 12 inches wide, because the 13-inch frame plus wheel clearance requires at least 14 inches of clearance 6.
• Price and regional status: Confirmed in the United States at $69.99 under article number 906.320.13 6. UK, Japanese, and Swedish availability remains unconfirmed in this check.
• Key specifications: Length: 16 1/2" (42 cm); Width: 13" (33 cm); Height: 29 7/8" (76 cm) 6. Main uprights are solid bamboo; the top tray uses moisture-resistant bamboo veneer over fiberboard 6. Total package weight is 11 lb 7 oz (5.2 kg) 6.
• Assembly watch-out: Follow manual AA-2652782-1-100 6. Insert and seat the four caster stems completely into the leg bases before tightening frame bolts. Avoid overtightening screws into bamboo side rails to prevent wood fiber splitting 6.

5. STEGESUND Shelf unit (3-tier)

• Best for: Small rental apartments needing narrow upright storage beside bathroom vanities or inside utility closets.
• Decision: Buy this shelf unit if you want open, natural wood shelving with a depth of only 11 inches. Skip this unit if your rental agreement strictly forbids wall anchoring, because its tall, slender proportion requires wall securing to eliminate tipping risks 7.
