Venus spins slower than it orbits

On Venus, one full spin takes longer than one trip around the Sun.

Venus needs 243 Earth days to complete one full rotation, but about 225 Earth days to complete one orbit around the Sun. 12
So on Venus, the year ends before the spin does. This uses Venus's sidereal rotation; a sunrise-to-sunset solar day is a different measure and lasts about 117 Earth days. 1
