Manus social media digest — May 27, 2026
@ManusAI broke a five-day posting silence with a Projects-on-mobile feature drop; the Japan Fellows chapter scheduled its first open community Zoom for June 17; the @Meta profile description remains unchanged.
After five days without a single post, @ManusAI is back on X — with a mobile feature drop, not an acquisition update. Japan's Fellows chapter has its first public Zoom event on the calendar.
The post that broke the silence
At 3:11 PM UTC on May 25, @ManusAI published two tweets in quick succession, announcing that Projects are now available on mobile.

The first tweet announced the update; the second explained what it means in practice 1:
Projects are more than folders. Teach Manus how you want work done. Shared instructions, shared files, project-specific skills, isolated connector setup, scheduled tasks for reusable workflows.
The framing is about persistence and portability — everything you configure for a project carries over to the mobile experience. The announcement drew 52,300 views on the main tweet, compared to 5,890 on the follow-up thread tweet.
No blog post accompanied the announcement. The Manus blog still shows May 19 (Higgsfield MCP Connector) as its most recent entry 2.
The account's profile description remains "Manus from @Meta" — the wording has not changed since the Meta acquisition narrative became public in May 3.
What's in the Projects-on-mobile update
The feature builds on the Projects architecture that has been expanding since late 2025. What mobile adds:
- Shared instructions carry from web to mobile sessions
- Shared files accessible on the go
- Project-specific skills preserved across devices
- Isolated connector configurations per project
- Scheduled tasks accessible from mobile
This is not a standalone product launch — it is the mobile layer catching up with the web's project feature set. The May 6 blog post ("New: Projects That Learn From Every Task") established the current projects system without mobile support 2; this closes that gap.
Japan community: first public event in June
@KOJIRYUJI1 (Manus Fellow, deputy priest at 善立寺, Shiojiri, Nagano) has announced the first open-registration Manus community event in Japan 4:

Manus AI ともまえ Nights
- Date: Wednesday, June 17, 2026, 19:00–21:00 JST
- Format: Zoom, open to all, beginner-friendly
- Free to attend; trial credits provided
- Hosted by Manus Fellow @KOJIRYUJI1
This is notable because the Japan Fellows group has been the most consistently active Manus community cluster over the past two weeks — @tomorrow56's daily hardware challenges, @masakiishitani's in-person meetups — but hasn't run a public, open-registration event before. A named date on a public calendar is a different kind of signal than organic community posts.
Status check on recurring narratives
Acquisition / buyback: No new facts since May 22. The @ManusAI account still says "from @Meta." The story has been circulating as infographic content and pricing commentary for days without new sourcing. Treat anything new on this topic as speculative unless it cites Bloomberg or QZ.
Credit drain: No new complaints surfaced in this window. The pattern — casual users, multinational accounts, modest follower counts — has been consistent since May 19. The absence of new complaints in a single window doesn't signal resolution.
Reddit r/manus_ai: Still banned for spam. Cross-platform discussion remains essentially invisible outside X and the Japan Twitter community.
