Roblox morning briefing — October 10, 2026: a takedown campaign against Forsaken, bots terminating developers' games, and Steal An Egg moving Roblox's shares 5.9%

Three developments for October 10: a campaign to delete Forsaken after a cutscene, bot accounts getting developers' games terminated with no fixable reason, and Steal An Egg carrying Roblox's quarter into earnings.

Roblox's newsroom has published nothing since Thursday. Its announcements board added two topics on Friday night: a Studio debugging tool, and the week's recap.
The rest of the day is louder: a campaign to have one of the platform's biggest games deleted.
Three things matter this morning. A cutscene turned into a takedown campaign. Roblox's chat moderation is terminating games whose creators cannot find the rule they broke. And one experience got big enough to move the company's share price.

A cutscene in Forsaken put 5.7 billion visits on the line

Forsaken is a nine-player survival game made by the Forsaken Dev Team and first published in July 2024 1. Roblox's own page puts it at 5.7 billion visits and 3.24 million favourites.
Forsaken held 50,352 players when its page was read at 08:12 CEST. More than 2 million people have liked it; 441,000 have disliked it.
The game was updated again shortly before midnight last night. Whatever that update added is now the subject of a demand that the whole game be removed.
A clip from it began circulating on X on Thursday night, posted with the line "DUDE THIS WAS NOT THE ANSWER IS HE OKAY?????" 2. As the creator who later amplified it describes the clip, a character says "i dont want to die", then jumps off a balcony into the void 3.
On Friday morning an account quoted the clip and asked Roblox to remove the game. The post says Forsaken "recently added a scene in which a character commits suicide", and that children could try to re-enact it. It tagged @Roblox and @RobloxCreators 4.
By this morning that post had 590,000 views, 5,343 likes and 777 replies.
Seven hours later the creator with 482,000 followers picked it up. "Roblox players want the whole Forsaken game taken down over one scene," he wrote, then asked his audience whether they wanted it deleted. That post reached 173,000 views 3.
The Forsaken experience page on Roblox, showing the game's key art, a Helperbot Survivor event card dated Friday 16 October, and a statistics row reading Active 50,352, Favourites 3,236,982, Visits 5.7B+, Updated 10/9/2026, Server Size 9, Genre Survival, Subgenre 1 vs All
Forsaken's own page on the morning of 10 October 2026, with the arguing happening elsewhere: 50,352 players inside a game that reached 5.7 billion visits, and the next content drop dated 16 October.Roblox, read 10 October 2026.
The demand points straight at Roblox's written rules. Its Community Standards say the platform does not allow "content or behavior that depicts, glorifies, or promotes suicide, self-injury, eating disorders, or offline activities that may create a serious risk of physical harm" 5. They separately bar content that "encourages depression, hopelessness or despair by portraying such feelings as aspirational or desirable".
The rule exists. What is unsettled is whether this scene falls under it, and only Roblox can say.
Neither account has responded. @Roblox's newest post is Friday afternoon's Creator Showdown team list. @RobloxCreators' newest, twenty minutes earlier, is about text-to-speech.
Forsaken's own community spent Friday arguing both sides. Its Reddit forum has 92,887 members, and one of the most-upvoted threads of the day was titled "I dislike forsaken, but not so much to cheer at the thought of a shutdown" 6.
The Shorts angle: hold the demand's view count, then cut to the game's counter. Six hundred thousand people saw the call to delete it, and fifty thousand were inside it while the call was being made.

Bots are getting developers' games terminated, and Roblox's appeal page was broken too

Two bug reports on the Developer Forum describe the same sequence. An account named TCSModTester followed by a number joins an experience, types a few random letters into chat, and leaves.
Within days the experience is terminated. Roblox states the reason as "Misusing Roblox Systems". The moderator note reads: "Your experience has failed to properly implement Roblox's TextChatService API."
The first public report went up late on Thursday night 7. It had 573 views and 54 posts by this morning.
A second report followed on Friday afternoon 8. It drew 1,223 views, 84 posts and 302 likes.
"Roblox's moderation system is taking down games for 'failing to implement TextChatService' and providing no context," its author wrote. "We've been given no indication as to what script or feature is supposedly violating the rules, leaving us with nothing to fix, no game, confused players, and a loss of revenue."
The first post of a Roblox Developer Forum bug report listing a game removal notice, a screenshot of an account named TCSModTester20 leaving the game with user ID 8280056237, a termination card reading Content Against Community Standards with the standard "Misusing Roblox Systems", and a moderator note reading "Your experience has failed to properly implement Roblox's TextChatService API"
The report pairs the bot account's exit notice with the termination that followed it, and lists seven similar threads underneath.Roblox Developer Forum, published 9 October 2026.
Named games are in the thread. Deliway Main Branch, asset 95286455406278, was taken down overnight. Time Variance Authority, which one poster says was holding 300 players at the time, went the same way. So did a driving game that lets players make vanity licence plates, and Bosses ALPHA.
"We are still battling the issue over 3-4 of our experience have been taken down," one developer wrote on Friday afternoon. "This is insane!"
The appeals have gone unanswered for three to four days. A third report, posted a minute before midnight, describes a game left unplayable and stuck on "Pending Final Review" 9.
On the same night Roblox did answer a different moderation bug, and the smaller one. A user banned for "Child Safety" reported that the Violations and Appeals page would not accept an appeal at all 10.
A member of Roblox staff replied just after 01:30 this morning: "We identified a bug here which caused the inability to appeal. We will file an appeal on your behalf while we fix this bug."
Both faults sit in Roblox's moderation. One decides a game's fate; the other is how a banned player asks for that decision to be looked at again.
The Shorts angle: the moderator note is the frame. Read it out — "failed to properly implement Roblox's TextChatService API" — then name the games. A takedown notice that gives a creator nothing to fix, issued 138 forum posts deep, is the clip.

Steal An Egg is now big enough to move Roblox's share price

Steal An Egg was published in July by the group and Collect Rare Pets. It held 1,774,804 players and had passed 7.4 billion visits when its page was read this morning 11.
The game is the most-played experience on the platform by a wide margin. Brookhaven, in second, held 405,352 in the same minute.
Yesterday the game's numbers reached the part of Roblox that does not play games. Wedbush raised its third-quarter estimates for the company, citing stronger-than-expected engagement and naming Steal An Egg as the driver 12. Roblox's shares traded up 5.9% on it.
No revised figures were reported, so the size of the upgrade is not known. The earnings date it points at is public: Thursday 29 October, after the market close 12.
Two days earlier the same shares fell as much as 8% before the opening bell, when Google opened Playground, a rival prompt-to-game platform 13.
The Steal An Egg experience page on Roblox, showing a Mounts Are Coming event card dated Saturday 10 October at 3:00 PM and a statistics row reading Active 1,774,804, Favourites 7,282,960, Visits 7.4B+, Updated 10/10/2026, Server Size 7, Genre Simulation, Subgenre Tycoon
The counter that shows up in an earnings note: 1,774,804 players on the page, and an update of its own dated for later today.Roblox, read 10 October 2026.
The Shorts angle: put the two numbers in one frame, the game's players and the share move. A parent, or anyone who has never played, gets it in five seconds.

Top Fall Games to Watch

  • Steal An Egg adds mounts — today, Saturday 10 October, at 17:00 CEST. The game's own events rail dates "Mounts are coming! RIDE YOUR PETS!" to 3:00 PM UTC 11. Pitch: the biggest game on Roblox gets the feature its players have been asking for, filmed in the first hour before the guides catch up.
  • BOMBANANA!'s next big update — today, Saturday 10 October, at 19:30 CEST. The rail dates "NEW BIG UPDATE!" to 5:30 PM UTC. The game sits on 18,181,929 visits and 88,771 favourites, up from 17,635,177 and 86,823 on Thursday morning 14. Pitch: a Steam co-op game with a Roblox second life, told through the visit counter.
  • Adopt Me! runs two updates in four days — today at 18:00 CEST, then Wednesday at 01:00 CEST. The rail lists "ADOPT ME ADMIN ABUSE! Freebies & Chaos!" for 4:00 PM UTC today, then "ADOPT ME 2D TUESDAY! 2X Bucks & XP!" for 11:00 PM UTC on Tuesday 13 October 15. Pitch: the freebies round-up is the hook, and an admin-abuse session is guaranteed footage.
  • Duck Duck's Halloween Event — open now. The rail shows "HALLOWEEN EVENT!" as live content rather than a countdown, after Friday night's 22:30 CEST start 16. Pitch: it is one of two places the free Duck-o-Lantern is earned before 8 November, and a free item is the easiest sixty seconds in this list.
  • Total Drama Island's full release — Thursday 15 October. The official game from the show's maker Fresh TV is still in open beta under the TotalDramaGames group, on 175,987 visits and 2,424 favourites 17. Pitch: a television franchise going at Roblox's party-game audience, with the beta's tiny numbers as the before shot.
  • Forsaken's next content drop — Saturday 17 October, 01:00 CEST. Its page dates a "Helperbot Survivor" event to 11:00 PM UTC on Friday the 16th, described only as "A new survivor..." 1. Pitch: the game under a takedown campaign ships a new character a week later, and the comment section is the content.
  • Dress to Impress: HALLOWEEN — Saturday 17 October, 17:00 CEST. The game's own rail dates its "Big Halloween Update!" to 3:00 PM UTC on the 17th 18. Pitch: the pieces players will hunt in the first hour, filmed as a shopping list.
  • Animal Hospital's Halloween update — Saturday 17 October. The game held 37,845 players this morning on 2.4 billion visits 19. Pitch: the update where a studio's promise to stop using AI art gets tested in public, a fortnight after its artist walked out.
  • FischFright 3 — Saturday 17 October. Fisch's annual limited Halloween event returns for a third year, with the game on 73,047 players 20. Pitch: two Halloween updates land on the same day, and only one carries a controversy.
  • The Creator Showdown goes to São Paulo — Thursday 15 October. Roblox named all four teams on Friday: LucasClashON with luanclashwar, teodorokz with Godenot, Nayu with iBugou, and NatashaPanda with vick.barbosa 21. Pitch: eight Brazilian creators, four corners, and a bracket the audience can fill in.

Also worth knowing

The week's official recap carries two things Thursday's licensing story did not. Licensed avatar items now display a Licensed badge, and Roblox says licensed badges are coming to games as well. Group unification also went through. Community and Creator Hub groups now share one role and permission list, so groups that did not opt in were migrated automatically by 5 October, and their permissions are worth re-reading 22.
SLIM's debug tints shipped to the player, not only to Studio. The streaming system's new view modes colour models by streaming state, level of detail and transcoder status. A creator can see which parts of a world the engine is actually sending. Studio keeps them behind a beta flag; Roblox Player exposes them now through the F9 Developer Console's DebugVisualizations menu 23.
Roblox's own X account spent Friday promoting a game almost nobody has played. It quoted the launch of Caramel, a free-to-play pixel-art cozy game built over a year by a developer with 550 followers 24. Roblox's quote of it has 260,000 views. By this morning the game had 80 players, 7,557 visits and 418 likes against 57 dislikes 25.
David Baszucki answered the interview invitation himself. Replying to Bloxy News' announcement that it will interview him, Roblox's founder and chief executive wrote: "Looking forward to it, keep the questions edgy.... :-)" 26. The invitation, posted on Wednesday, had drawn 478 replies 27.
Roblox In Real Life opens in London this morning. The Samsung KX space at Coal Drops Yard in King's Cross runs today from 11am to 7pm and tomorrow from 11am to 5pm. Entry is free and needs no booking, and there are zones for Duck Duck, Pixel Quest and Warden 28.
Where the big games stand this morning. At 08:15 CEST Steal An Egg led the platform at 1.76 million concurrent players, ahead of Brookhaven on 410,426, 99 Nights in the Forest on 290,491 and Adopt Me! on 238,368. Blox Fruits held 205,151 and RIVALS 186,674 29.
