Saturday, August 8: the agent-tool drop

This first edition keeps the current-day result separate: no new AI tool launch dated Saturday morning was verified before recording. The useful background is Friday's two launches and Thursday's portable-agent standard.

Radar Researcher is a beta tool inside Cloudflare Radar. Ask about Internet traffic and related public data in plain language, and it returns an explanation with interactive charts. Cloudflare says the assistant queries Radar's API, shows the datasets and interpretation behind an answer, and can continue the investigation with follow-up questions. 1

Try it from Cloudflare Radar Researcher. The important boundary is scope: this is a natural-language interface to Cloudflare's Radar data, not a general web research agent.

Sierra's Voice Personas lets teams give an existing customer-service agent a distinct voice, personality, and language-aware behavior for different brands or markets. The same agent can keep its policies and actions while changing how it communicates. Sierra says the feature also supports pacing, interruptions, voice and language switching, and pre-deployment simulation. 2

Voice Personas is available on Sierra now. Its significance is practical: voice agents can be designed around brand and culture instead of sounding like a generic default.

Agent Plugins 1.0 is an open, vendor-neutral package format for carrying Agent Skills and Model Context Protocol configuration together. The format aims to let developers move the portable parts of an agent capability between compatible clients, while leaving installation, permissions, user experience, distribution, and trust to each client. 3

The Register reported Friday that Amazon, Cursor, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Vercel helped develop the specification, with support listed for clients including VS Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, and Kiro. Version 1.0 is intentionally narrow, so this is a shared package boundary rather than a complete interoperability system. 4
