You Grew Up by the Mill

A four-card memory atlas of a composite 1980s industrial Ohio town, circa 1982-1988.

The signature stop is Skateland, where Friday night began under a striped canopy. The pocket relic is a BMX bike, still dusty from the ride home. The last card holds that specific after-school hour when the brick stayed warm, the sky turned blue, and the mill was simply part of the horizon.
