Elena Rybakina won the BNB Ningbo Open on Sunday, beating Leylah Fernandez 6-2, 6-2 in 76 minutes 1.
The title is her fourth of the season, more than any other player has won in 2026, and her winning run in Ningbo now stands at eight matches. It is also the first time in her career she has defended a singles title 1.
Five days before that final, Iga Świątek pulled out of the same tournament with a left thigh injury and ended her season. Świątek had been in contention for the last place at the WTA Finals 2.
Karolína Muchová was named the eighth and final qualifier on Wednesday, which completed the singles field for Indian Wells 3.
This issue covers 19–25 October 2026 and closes at Monday's 10:00 UTC cutoff. Five tour-level titles were decided inside it, all at 500 level or below, and all five finals were played on Sunday.
