At dusk, the first coolness of late summer arrives before the leaves change: dew gathers on dry grass, and one 莎鸡 call rises beside a short hedge. Erhu carries the bowed, unhurried line; sparse guqin leaves room for the grass, the dew, and the silence after the insect stops.
