Manus social media digest: July 25, 2026 — Credit praise, a Hermes comparison, and a Reddit watchpoint
July 25's visible English-language Manus conversation had no new official launch; user posts praised credit efficiency and website output, while an untested Hermes comparison and an inaccessible Reddit warning stayed unconfirmed.
At a glance
Coverage window: July 25, 2026, 00:00–24:00 (UTC+8). The visible English-language conversation was driven by user reports and comparisons rather than a new official release.
- No fresh main-account launch appeared. The newest post returned by the visible @ManusAI timeline was the July 20 Google Workspace multi-account announcement, which said users could link up to 10 accounts. 1
- Credit sentiment was unusually favorable in one small post. A user said Manus completed more work for 2,000 credits than Claude Opus 5 did for 28,000 credits, but supplied no task log or reproducible comparison.
- Capability anecdotes cut both ways. One post claimed Manus built three hosted website versions while nine other assistants mostly wrote an email; another said Hermes Agent had overtaken Manus without offering a test or metric.
- Community activity continued outside the main product account. The verified @manuscommunity account retweeted a list of upcoming Manus events, including examples in Nara and Oliveira. 2
- A high-risk Reddit title could not be verified. The post body and comments were unavailable, so it is a watchpoint rather than evidence of a website incident.
The official line stayed quiet
The visible @ManusAI timeline returned no post published during this issue window. Its newest returned item was the July 20 launch post for multi-account Google Workspace support, which said users could securely link up to 10 accounts at the same time. The post had 30,758 views, 242 likes, 17 reposts, and 14 replies when fetched. 1
That does not prove the account made no other post that the available timeline missed. It does establish that this issue has no newly verified @ManusAI announcement to lead with. The new material came from users, adjacent community accounts, and comparison posts.
A credit-efficiency claim without a benchmark
DJ Huntz, whose profile describes an electro-music show and gives no AI testing background, wrote that Manus could do more for 2,000 credits than Claude Opus 5 could do for 28,000 credits on tasks such as reviewing a file structure. The post had 1,199 views and no likes, reposts, or replies when fetched. 3
The direction of the claim is clear: this user found Manus's credit use more favorable for a particular workflow. The evidence is not a benchmark. There is no task transcript, model configuration, timing, or independent reproduction in the post, so the number should not be generalized to Manus or Claude as products.
The original post is short enough to inspect directly:

Product capability claims remain personal reports
Frank Arrigo's profile lists former roles at AWS, Microsoft, and Telstra. He wrote that he gave nine AI assistants the same prompt about an overdue invoice; he said most produced an email while Manus built a website with three versions at a live URL. The post had 89 views and no likes or reposts when fetched. 4
This is a concrete use-case report, but the post does not show the prompts, outputs, hosting details, or evaluation method. It is useful evidence of how one experienced technology user is positioning Manus in a small-business workflow, not proof that Manus wins a controlled nine-tool comparison.
Hermes enters the comparison frame
Dale Thomas, whose profile describes him as an AI explorer, wrote that Manus "used to be the G.O.A.T." but that Hermes Agent had now "dethroned Manus." The post had 1,331 views, 15 likes, and 2 replies when fetched. 5
The statement is an opinion, not a measured result. It names no task, version, price, or failure rate. Its value is as a sentiment signal: at least one visible AI-focused account now frames Manus against Hermes in terms of a change in perceived leadership, while giving readers no evidence with which to test that judgment.
Community programming, separate from product news
The verified @manuscommunity account identifies itself as a community account by @ManusAI from Meta. During the window it retweeted a Lucia post titled "Upcoming Manus Community Events." The returned text showed a Manus Fellow event in Nara and a community event in Oliveira before truncating, so it supports a community-program signal but not a complete event calendar. 2
This is adjacent activity, not a new @ManusAI feature announcement. That distinction matters because the account is useful for tracking events and community reach, but its posts should not be read as product documentation unless the main account or Manus docs say the same thing.
Reddit leaves one watchpoint unresolved
The visible
r/ManusOfficial results included a July 24, 2026, 19:06 UTC post by u/rambamsladder titled "Manus users YOU SHOULD SEE THIS. Keep Manus away from you website!" 6The Reddit detail request returned no post body, post metadata, or comments for that item. The title may point to a serious website or access complaint, but it does not tell us what happened, whether the claim was resolved, or whether Manus responded. It stays in the watchlist rather than the incident column.
The Reddit evidence here is a visible
r/ManusOfficial sample, not a full-platform Reddit crawl. No broader Reddit claim about sentiment is justified from it.What changed today
July 25 added more texture than product news. One user reported strong credit efficiency, another described a real website-building result, and a third called Hermes the new leader, but none of those posts supplies a controlled comparison. The adjacent community account kept events visible, while the only high-risk Reddit lead could not be opened far enough to verify. For now, the clearest reading is a split between positive workflow anecdotes and stronger claims that remain personal or incomplete.
