Amex Platinum offers for Sept. 15: Marriott $150 back, a Kona Grill dining credit, and the ANA transfer issue (2026)

The tightest part of this week is the calendar: five Amex Offers expire between today and September 22, and the first of them ends today 1. Underneath those dates sit two new items, a Marriott hotel credit worth up to $200 back and a live dining credit at Kona Grill, plus one points transfer worth avoiding until American Express fixes it.

Add every offer to the card you will actually use before you buy. The terms that decide whether a credit posts are the ones attached to your account, so read those.

A Marriott credit worth up to $200 back

Doctor of Credit reported the offer on September 8. One version pays a one-time $150 statement credit after $300 or more on Marriott stays; some accounts carry a second version paying $200 after $450. Both run to November 30, 2026.

The credit counts at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties in the US and US territories, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Book on marriott.com, through the Bonvoy app, or on the phone line at 1-888-236-2427, and let the charge land on the enrolled card. Room rate and room charges carry the credit.

Marriott Vacation Club, Grand Residence Club, Design Hotels, Protea, Marriott Executive Apartments, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy and the Vistana networks all sit outside the offer, along with gift card purchases and purchases of Bonvoy points.

At $150 back on $300, the entry tier returns 50%, which is high for a hotel offer of this kind. The credit is one-time per account.

Marriott's own fall promotion stacks on the same stay. It pays 1,500 bonus points on stays of two nights or more and an extra 3,000 on resort stays of two nights or more, for stays between September 22 and November 22; registration closes November 13 11 12. That one is a Marriott Bonvoy program promotion, run outside Amex, and it stacks with the card credit because both key off a Marriott stay paid with the enrolled card. The points themselves are modest, so register only if a stay is already planned.

Kona Grill: a dining credit that runs to September 27

The offer pays $15 back after a single in-restaurant purchase of $75 or more, and it can be earned up to four times, for a total of $60, through September 27 8. Search for Kona Grill in Amex Offers and add it before you go.

The structure rewards repeat visits. BanksDeals logged the sighting on September 14 from cardholder reports, so confirm it in your own account before ordering. Four separate $75 meals reach the $60 cap; a single $300 meal earns one $15 credit.

At 20% back on the qualifying spend, this sits in the range the card's dining offers usually reach. What the public record shows this month is a run of small per-visit credits at chain restaurants. The larger dining lever sits inside the card itself, and its third-quarter window closes September 30.

The dining credit on the card itself closes September 30

The Platinum card carries a Resy dining credit of up to $100 per quarter, capped at $400 a year. Paying with the card at an eligible US Resy restaurant triggers it, and a walk-in earns the credit alongside a booked table 13. The third quarter ends September 30, and whatever is unused at that point is lost.

Eligibility moves, so check before you book. Amex marks the restaurants that qualify, and only marked venues trigger the credit. The company is also folding Tock into Resy this year, which brings venues that were previously Tock-only into the same system in phases, with participation decided restaurant by restaurant 14. A venue that carried the badge last quarter may read differently now.

Transfers to ANA are not landing

Membership Rewards transfers to ANA, the All Nippon Airways program, can be started but the points are not arriving in ANA accounts. The problem dates from September 2 and was unresolved as of September 14 15. Amex and ANA each pointed at the other at first; Amex representatives have since acknowledged that the fault sits on the Amex side. Some transfers are still completing normally.

If you are working toward a time-sensitive ANA award, wait for a confirmed fix, or route the booking through a different airline partner. If you have already sent points, check the ANA balance before you rely on them and keep the transfer confirmation.

Still open, with October dates

Four items from earlier in September are unchanged: the 30% Membership Rewards transfer bonus to Hilton Honors through October 14, the Air France/KLM offer of 20,000 Membership Rewards after $1,000 through September 30, the $200 Platinum Member Airfares credit after $1,000 through October 31, and the two Airbnb stays variants, $30 back on $250 or 15% back up to $30, through October 20.

The one lounge date on the calendar is the change Amex announced earlier this year: access to Lufthansa lounges ends October 1, which makes September 30 the last day the card opens those doors 16.

The five-minute check

Open Amex Offers on each eligible US Platinum account and add Sixt, Sonesta, Viator, Airbnb Experiences and Services, Holland America, Delta, Kona Grill and Marriott where they appear.
Use what is left of the Resy credit for the third quarter at a marked US venue before September 30.
Leave your Membership Rewards balance alone if an ANA transfer was the plan, and verify the ANA balance if points have already gone out.
Put the near dates in a calendar: Sixt today, Sonesta tomorrow, Viator on September 17, Airbnb Experiences on September 19, Holland America on September 22.
Register for the Marriott fall promotion if a stay is already booked, and pay that stay with the same enrolled card that carries the Marriott credit.
