In a 2009 experiment, a cooled CCD camera recorded ultraweak photon emission from five healthy men every three hours across three days. The signal rose through the afternoon and peaked around 16:00; its intensity sat about 1,000 times below naked-eye sensitivity. The authors connect the light to excited molecules formed during energy-metabolism chemistry and propose a circadian link for the daily rhythm. 1
