A $1,709 RF 24-70 and a $1,319 Z7 II: five used floors, three with dated checkpoints

Canon RF carries the deepest floor moves this week. MPB's Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM page listed 29 copies from $2,149 on March 26, with Like new $2,379 and Excellent $2,359 as its only graded copies; today it lists 55 copies from $1,709 and a Good tier at $2,019. The RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM went from 10 copies from $2,039 to 20 copies from $1,479. Nikon's Z7 II shed $80 over the same stretch, and the Sony and Leica models below have no archived page carrying a price line. 12345

Across all five picks the cheapest copy is also the most used one. MPB grades on a five-step cosmetic scale — Like new, Excellent, Good, Well used, Heavily used — and the grade describes the outside of the item, so a lens's front element and a body's actuation count each need their own evidence in the listing. 6

Every price here was read from MPB's US and EU storefronts on September 25, 2026. The dated comparisons are archived copies of the same model pages, each named with its date and copy count. EU figures convert at the European Central Bank's September 25 reference rate of $1.1403 per euro. 7

The $1,709 floor is a Well used copy (SKU 3948354), which sits under the grade this radar buys. The entry is the Good copy at $2,019 (SKU 4193499), with an Excellent at $2,179 above it. 18

Grade against grade, the lens fell in two ways. Excellent came down from $2,359 to $2,179, and a Good tier now exists where the cheapest graded copy in March was $2,359. The Good copy ships with the EW-88E hood, the LP1222 case, both caps and the six-month warranty. Europe lists 19 copies from €1,799, about $2,051, and tops out at €1,999; EU copies carry twelve months of warranty against six in the US. 27815

Call: buy at $2,019. A weather-sealed f/2.8 standard zoom, complete in the box, at $340 under the cheapest graded copy of itself in March, is the week's most straightforward move. The $1,709 Well used copy is the fallback for a reader happy to inspect a lens graded on cosmetics alone. 28

The $1,479 the model page leads with belongs to a Heavily used copy, SKU 4177001. It sits 27.5% under the lens's March 26 floor of $2,039 and $580 under the cheapest copy MPB gives a working grade. 349

The Good copy at $2,059 (SKU 4189532) is the one to price against. Its listing carries a disclosure in MPB's own words: "The front element has significant marks, but this isn't visible in the image produced." The box includes the ET-83FW III hood, the tripod collar, the lens case, both caps and the six-month warranty. Europe lists 21 copies from €2,059, about $2,348, with its own Good at €2,059 and Excellent at €2,359. 7917

Call: skip the $1,479, then a conditional buy at $2,059. Accept the marked copy only with a test frame and a return path, and shoot into a light source on arrival to see whether the marks flare. The clean Excellent copy is $2,459, exactly where this lens traded in March, so the patient buyer loses nothing by waiting. 49

Forty-four copies run from $1,319 to $1,609 today, against 42 copies from $1,399 to $1,649 on May 28. The published ladder is Like new $1,579, Excellent $1,509 to $1,539, and Good $1,389, which leaves the $1,319 floor $70 under the cheapest graded copy. 51011

The Good copy (SKU 4116453) discloses 96,256 actuations and includes Nikon's EN-EL15c battery, the MH-25A charger, the EH-7P AC adapter, the DK-29 eyecup, the battery door, a neck strap and the manual. Nikon rates the Z7 II for 200,000 actuations, so this body has used just under half its rated life. Europe is the cheaper side: 24 copies from €1,009, about $1,150, against a US floor of $1,319. 7111819

Call: buy at $1,389 once the count reads near 96,256 on the specific copy. A dual-card 45.7MP body under half its rated shutter life is the cleanest body decision on this list, and the $1,319 floor needs its grade named before it counts as the same offer. 1011

The Good copy (SKU 4097653) at $1,019 discloses 40,010 actuations and includes a Sony NP-FZ100 battery, the AC adapter, the battery door, USB cables and a third-party camera cage. Every archived copy of this page from the past six months loses the price line in the capture, so the $954 floor stands alone. 2021

The A7 IV next door shows what an unpriced floor can hide: its $1,429 Good copy has fired 208,697 times against Sony's 150,000 rating for that body. Europe lists 43 copies from €884, about $1,008, with its own Good at €899 and Excellent at €979. 7182223

Call: buy at $1,019. It is the cheapest way onto a Sony full-frame sensor with a disclosed, low actuation count, and $954 reads as a current opening. 1220

Twenty-one US copies run from $1,869 to $2,579. The published grades are Good $1,959 (SKU 4077252), Excellent at $2,379 and $2,399, and Like new $2,579, which leaves the $1,869 floor $90 under the Good copy with its grade unpublished. 1314

The Good copy includes Leica's BP-SCL4 battery, its BC-SCL4 charger and a front body cap; the S strap is missing from the box. MPB leaves the shutter count unpublished for this body, so the box contents and the exact-copy photographs carry the inspection. Call: buy at $1,959 if L-mount is the destination. The 47MP sensor, in-body stabilisation and weather sealing make this the cheapest full-frame entry into L-mount on either storefront. With 21 copies in the US and seven in Europe, the stock is the thinnest of the five picks, so the grade you want is the one to reserve. 131424

The Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM at $2,019 is the cleanest buy, complete in the box and cheaper than any graded copy of itself in March. The Nikon Z7 II at $1,389 is the body to move on once the count checks out. The Sony A7C at $1,019 and the Leica SL2 at $1,959 are the two cheap ways into a full-frame system, both with their floors left ungraded. On the RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM the marked $2,059 copy is the only real opening this week, since the $1,479 floor is Heavily used and the clean copy costs $2,459.

Whichever copy you go after, ask for its grade, its wear notes, its actuation count, what is in the box and the warranty terms. US copies carry six months and EU copies twelve; every figure above was read on September 25, 2026.
