October 18 LEGO radar: thirteen retired sets this week, and three of them land under market

Thirteen retired LEGO sets went up for sale on Mercari between October 11 and 18, 2026; three of them land below their six-month average — a Dagobah Jedi Training diorama at 12.9% under, a sealed 1999 Landspeeder at 8.2% under and a boxed Pet Shop at 1.5% under — while the ten others ask between 11.9% and 74.8% above market.

Thirteen out-of-production LEGO sets went up for sale on Mercari between October 11 and October 18, 2026, 10:00 GMT-5, and three of them ask less than their set has been selling for.
Last week's issue found one listing under market. This week found three. The best is a Dagobah Jedi Training diorama at $49.69 landed against a $57.05 used average, 12.9% under. A sealed 1999 Landspeeder lands 8.2% under, and a complete Pet Shop lands 1.5% under.
The other ten ask more, from 11.9% over at the mildest to 74.8% at the worst. Seven of the thirteen are sealed boxes and six are used. Six of the ten overpriced lots are sealed.
Landed is the asking price plus shipping plus Mercari's buyer-protection fee. That total is what leaves a buyer's account, and it is the figure each gap is measured from.
Reference is brick'em's BrickLink six-month completed-sale average for the set in the condition it is listed in. A sealed box is held to the sealed average, a used build to the used one. Gap puts the landed total against that reference, so a negative number is a set priced under market.
Shipping and the buyer-protection fee added between 4.8% and 19.5% to the asking price across these thirteen. Scarcity here is read from retirement date, set format, and how much of each set's value sits in its minifigures. BrickLink's live seller-supply count stayed out of reach again this week, so supply rests on those three. Where two listings land within five points of each other, the older retirement ranks first.
Dating works the same way it did last week. Mercari prints a Posted date on some item pages and leaves the field blank on others; this week one of the thirteen printed one, the Dagobah listing, and it read 10/18/26. The other twelve are dated by the listing's own posting stamp, carried in its image address, which agreed with the printed date wherever both existed.

The three listings under market

75330 Dagobah Jedi Training. A diorama, not a vehicle: 1,000 pieces and three minifigures, released in April 2022 at $89.99 and retired at the end of 2023. 1
Sealed copies average $80.71; used ones $57.05, and the three figures are $21.90 of that, 38% of the used figure. 3
The listing went up October 18 from California at $40.00 with $7.97 to ship and $1.72 in buyer protection, for $49.69 landed. 2
The seller's whole description is one line: complete build, no manual, no box. With 38% of the value in three figures, ask for the three of them photographed together before paying, and compare the piece count of what arrives against 1,000. Ceiling: $57.
7110 Landspeeder. The oldest thing on the board by a long way. LEGO released 7110 in February 1999, 49 pieces and two minifigures, and retired it at the end of 2000. 4
BrickLink prices the sealed box at $96.78 and a loose one at $25.20. 6 That spread is the whole point of this listing: it is a sealed 1999 box, and the seller has it at $79.00 from Illinois, $6.73 to ship, $3.08 in buyer protection, $88.81 landed. 5
A 27-year-old sealed box has one real question attached. Ask for a photograph of both short ends and the bottom panel, where the box's original tape seals should be, and for the weight to match roughly 49 pieces plus packaging. The two minifigures are $13.29 of the $25.20 used average, so a resealed box with them swapped is worth half the ask in one move. Ceiling: $97.
10218 Pet Shop. The third under-market listing is one of the two old modulars on the board, and the only one that arrives with its box. LEGO 10218 ran 2,034 pieces and four minifigures, released in May 2011 at $149.99, retired at the end of 2016. 7
Used complete copies average $204.65; the four figures are only $14.61 of that, 7% of the total. 9 On this set the bricks and the box carry the price, which is what makes a boxed used copy the one to want.
The listing went up October 14 from Minnesota at $171.59 with $22.95 to ship and $7.00 in buyer protection, $201.54 landed. 8
The seller states the set is complete, ships broken down, and photographs the box. Because the figures are worth so little here, the check that matters is completeness on a 2,034-piece build: ask for the count of the bagged lots, and for a photograph of the two shopfront nameplates that sit above the shop door. Ceiling: $205.

10185 Green Grocer: the rarest box on the board

The set at rank five is the one a collector will open first. LEGO released 10185 in March 2008 at $149.99: 2,358 pieces across three floors, four minifigures, and a corner grocery with a curved white bay window running the full height of the building. It retired at the end of 2010. BrickRanker puts its current new-condition value at $1,731.26, and brick'em's six-month used average is $731.46. 1315
The listing went up October 17 from Virginia at $879.00 with $11.99 to ship and $32.07 in buyer protection, $923.06 landed — 26.2% over the used average and 47% under the sealed one. 14
An assembled LEGO Green Grocer corner building on a light oak table, its three instruction booklets fanned out in front and a handwritten seller card beside them
The seller's photograph is the evidence in this lot. All three 10185 booklets are in frame, numbered 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3, which is the full manual set for the 2008 release, and the build stands finished with its shopfront awning and corner bay intact. The handwritten card carries the seller's handle and the date 10/14/26, the only photograph in this issue that shows the goods and the seller in the same frame. 14
The description makes two claims a buyer should test: that all four minifigures are the originals, and that a set in the same condition fetched $1,000. 14 The four figures are $69.32 of the $731.46 used average, so substitutions cost a buyer real money at this price.
Ask for each figure photographed face-on, and for a close photograph of the corner turret's printed sign tile, sharp rather than fuzzy at the edges. Ceiling: $731, which puts this ask about $192 over it.

The two sealed boxes closest to market

60350 Lunar Research Base. LEGO 60350 has 786 pieces and six minifigures, released in March 2022 at $129.99, retired at the end of 2023. 16
Sealed copies average $101.70, used ones $84.00, with $14.02 of the used figure in the six minifigures. 18 The listing went up October 11 from Massachusetts at $120.00, $7.97 to ship and $4.60 in buyer protection, $132.57 landed. 17
That is 30.4% over the sealed average for a box that was on shop shelves three years ago. Ask for the factory seal photograph on both long edges, and confirm the six figures are inside a sealed box rather than described from memory. Ceiling: $102.
75060 Slave I. The most expensive listing on the board, and the one whose sealed premium costs the most in dollars after the Green Grocer. LEGO 75060 is 1,996 pieces with four minifigures, released January 2015 at $199.99, retired at the end of 2018. 19
Sealed copies average $453.38; used ones $326.19, and the minifigures are $114.77, 35% of the used average. 21 The listing went up October 18 from Florida at $550.00, $33.00 to ship and $20.98 in buyer protection, $603.98 landed, 33.2% over. 20
The sealed LEGO Slave I 75060 box lying flat on grey carpet, the Ultimate Collector Series banner and the 1996-piece count printed on its front
The seller's photograph carries the two things that decide this price. The printed front names 75060, 1,996 pieces and the Ultimate Collector Series line, so the box is the 2015 release itself. The wear the description calls "small imperfections" shows along the top edge and the upper-left corner. With $114.77 of the used value in four figures, the box itself is much of what a sealed premium buys, and the ask has priced the wear at nothing. 20
With 35% of the value in four figures, the sealed-box question is the same one as on every lot here: ask for the four named in writing, and for the seal across both top flaps photographed square-on. Ceiling: $453.

The middle of the board

60167 Coast Guard Headquarters. The closest thing to a fair price above market this week. LEGO 60167 has 795 pieces and seven minifigures, released May 2017 at $119.99, retired at the end of 2018. 10
Used complete copies average $123.08, and the seven figures are only $12.01 of it. 12 The listing went up October 14 from Nebraska at $125.00, $7.97 to ship and $4.78 in buyer protection, $137.75 landed, 11.9% over. 11
The seller has done the work a careful buyer would otherwise do: every piece counted against the downloaded instructions, sorted into eight numbered bags, and both boat hulls included. 11 The missing box and manual are why the ask sits where it does on an otherwise clean set. Ceiling: $123.
70725 Nindroid MechDragon. The oldest Ninjago retirement on the board. LEGO 70725 came out in December 2013 at $89.99, 691 pieces and five minifigures, retired at the end of 2014. 22
Used complete copies average $200.15, and $87.39 of that — 44% — is the five figures. 24 The listing went up October 14 from Texas at $270.00, $7.97 to ship and $10.00 in buyer protection, $287.97 landed, 43.9% over. 23
The seller states the set is complete with instructions, no box, all stickers applied, and the figures free of cracks. 23 On a 44%-figures set, ask for each figure photographed out of the mech, and check the moulded detail on the dragon's head piece against a reference photo. Ceiling: $200.
10297 Boutique Hotel. The newest retirement on the board, and the one that has had the least time to fall out of retail pricing. LEGO 10297 ran 3,068 pieces and seven minifigures, released January 2022 at $229.99, retired December 2025. 25
Sealed copies average $211.12, used $166.74; the seven figures are $19.41, only 12% of the used average. 27 The listing went up October 13 from Texas at $260.00 with $38.00 to ship and $10.72 in buyer protection, $308.72 landed, 46.2% over the sealed average. 26
Thirty-eight dollars of shipping on a set that averaged $211 sealed is 18% of the reference on its own. Ask the seller to weigh the box and requote, and ask what the "retired" label is based on, since this set left retail eleven months ago and some sellers label any set they can no longer buy at retail as retired. Ceiling: $211.
70674 Fire Fang. LEGO 70674 came out in August 2019 at $39.99, 465 pieces and four minifigures, retired at the end of 2020. 28
Used complete copies average $50.74, and the four figures are $24.12, 48% of it. 30 The listing went up October 17 from Oregon at $65.00, $7.97 to ship and $2.62 in buyer protection, $75.59 landed, 49.0% over. 29
The seller says the build is complete with all figures and instructions, no box, and invites offers. 29 Against a $50.74 average, this ask needs to fall by a third before it is worth a message. Ceiling: $51.
21160 The Illager Raid. A sealed box whose shipping and fee add 12% to the ask. LEGO 21160 has 560 pieces and five minifigures, released January 2020 at $59.99, retired at the end of 2022. 31
Sealed copies average $73.24, used $50.25, and the five figures are $16.80, 33% of the used figure. 33 The listing went up October 17 from Nevada at $98.00, $7.97 to ship and $3.81 in buyer protection, $109.78 landed, 49.9% over. 32
The description runs long on the set's features and short on provenance: mint box, no shelf wear, sealed. 32 Ask for a photograph of the seal and of the box's printed copyright line, and read the year on it. Ceiling: $73.

The two that overpay hardest

60329 School Day. LEGO 60329 ran 433 pieces and eight minifigures, released January 2022 at $69.99, retired at the end of 2022. 34
This is the odd one in the reference data: brick'em's used average, $100.00, sits above its sealed average of $98.02, so the sealed box here sells for less than a used build does. 36 The listing went up October 17 from North Carolina at $155.00, $7.97 to ship and $5.86 in buyer protection, $168.83 landed — 72.2% over the sealed average and 69% over the used one. 35
Eight minifigures at $19.31 is 19% of the used average, so the figures are not what is being priced here. Ask what the $155 is based on. Ceiling: $98.
71745 Lloyd's Jungle Chopper Bike. LEGO 71745 is 183 pieces and three minifigures, released March 2021 at $19.99, retired at the end of 2022. 37
Sealed copies average $30.21 and used $17.47, with the three figures at $12.86 — 74% of the used average, the most figure-concentrated set on this week's board. 39 The listing went up October 13 from Washington at $43.00, $7.97 to ship and $1.83 in buyer protection, $52.80 landed. That is 1.75 times the sealed average. 38
The seller discloses shelf wear and damage on the back of the box, photographed. 38 On a set whose value is three figures, a damaged sealed box is worth little more than the figures inside it. Ceiling: $30.

What to check before you send money

These are the checks that match this week's listings, in the order a buyer would run them.
  1. Ask for the figures by name and in one photograph. On seven of these thirteen, the minifigures carry between 33% and 74% of the set's used value, and a substituted figure photographs exactly like the original.
  2. Photograph the seals square-on. Seven lots are sealed. Ask for both short ends and the bottom panel, and compare the tape's width and sheen across panels.
  3. Match the printed product code to the set number. The Slave I box prints 75060 and 1,996 pieces on its front; the Green Grocer booklets print 10185 and 1/3, 2/3, 3/3. A box or manual printing a different number is a different product.
  4. Count pieces against the published piece count. 10185 is 2,358, 10218 is 2,034 and 75330 is 1,000. Sellers who have counted say so; sellers who have not, will not.
  5. Ask what a "retired" title is based on. BrickRanker's status line settles it: 10297 left retail in December 2025, and plenty of listings carry the word before it is true of the set.
  6. Ask for the weight. A sealed box noticeably light for its piece count is worth refusing. This matters most on 7110, where 49 pieces plus a 1999 box should arrive near its listed weight.
  7. Read the description against the photographs. Where a defect is described, check that a photograph shows it. Where none is described, ask for the angle that would reveal one.

Where these listings came from

All thirteen came from Mercari, and all thirteen carried a listing date inside the window.
The other four marketplaces named for this channel produced nothing usable again. eBay's item pages returned eBay's own error page for every listing address tried, and its search results render a title and a price with no condition, shipping or date. Vinted served a script-only page shell. Depop's search returned an unfilled shell. BrickLink's catalog reached a human-verification screen, which is also why its live seller-supply counts are missing from the scarcity read.
Searches that returned usable pages this week: lego modular retired, lego city retired, lego ninjago retired and lego star wars set. Four-word queries and the bare two-word lego retired came back as a security check page rather than results.
