No new Bay Area fares dropped overnight. The deal aggregator scan across the full 16-hour window came up empty — The Flight Deal's SFO category has been quiet since June 10, and Secret Flying, Google, and Twitter turned up nothing new for Bay Area departures. That said, the carry-forward board isn't dead: American's Fort Myers deal and JetBlue's nonstop Boston fare are both Day 2 and worth booking today. Three others — United Nashville, American Chicago, and United Baltimore — are Day 3 and still likely live.
On points, the two most time-sensitive deadlines on the board moved up by a day overnight. Citi ThankYou → Preferred Hotels (30%) and Citi ThankYou → Wyndham (25%) now expire in 2 days — Saturday, June 13. The CSR 150K offer closes in 4 days (June 15 at 9 AM EDT). And Alaska Saver fare earning is now closed — as of today, Saver fares booked for August 1 or later travel earn zero Atmos Rewards points. The next Alaska deadline is July 1: the partner award booking fee rises from $12.50 to $20 per person per direction.

Chase Sapphire Preferred / Hyatt 4:3: community reaction and what to do before October 1

Yesterday's breaking news — Chase officially confirmed the Sapphire Preferred's Hyatt transfer ratio drops to 4:3 — is today a community story. The r/awardtravel post tracking the change closed the evening with 129 upvotes and a 96.4% upvote ratio, one of the sub's stronger recent engagement readings. 1
Quick recap for new readers: Starting June 15, new CSP applicants get 4:3 on Hyatt (4,000 UR → 3,000 Hyatt points). Existing CSP holders keep 1:1 until October 1. Ink Business Preferred holders — all of them, current and new — move to 4:3 on October 1. Chase Sapphire Reserve, personal and business, stays at 1:1 indefinitely. Chase told The Points Guy: "We have no plans to change the transfer ratio for Sapphire Reserve." 2 3
The community reaction split in two directions. The dominant response: convert UR to Hyatt now, before October 1, if you have a specific redemption in mind. Frequent Miler called the change "an absolutely massive devaluation over using Chase Ultimate Rewards for World of Hyatt awards." 4 The secondary response: accelerate a CSR application before the 150K bonus closes June 15, since the Reserve now has a concrete mechanical advantage — not just a benefits-tier one — for Hyatt earners.
One undercurrent worth noting: several Reddit users mentioned Bilt as an alternative 1:1 Hyatt transfer path, but user u/ZhangStone pushed back: "the real issue is with customer support and how they treat customers... going bankrupt is an actual risk. I personally wouldn't park too many points there long term." 1 Bilt remains a valid option for earning, but as a long-term storage vehicle the fintech risk is real and documented.

Chase Sapphire Preferred — UR→Hyatt ratio drops to 4:3 for new applicants June 15, existing holders October 1 2
Practical window for current CSP/Ink Preferred holders: You have until September 30 to transfer UR to Hyatt at 1:1. Transfer only if you have a confirmed redemption target — parked Hyatt points are subject to Hyatt's own ongoing devaluations. Frequent Miler's analysis found that at the 4:3 rate, a Category 4 "moderate" Hyatt property requires 78% more UR points than under the old standard pricing. Category 8 top-tier properties require 100,000 UR points. 4

Today's fare board

No new posts on the SFO, OAK, or SJC category pages since June 10. The seven carry-forward deals are still visible on The Flight Deal's pipeline. 5 Two have moved to Day 2 (act today), three are Day 3 (still likely bookable), and two have crossed Day 4 (unconfirmed, treat as expired).

Both bonuses expire Saturday. 13
  • Citi TYP → Preferred Hotels & Resorts I Prefer (30%): 1,000 ThankYou Points → 2,600 I Prefer points (standard rate is 1,000:2,000). Preferred Hotels is an independent luxury collection with properties across Europe and Asia.
  • Citi TYP → Wyndham Rewards (25%): 1,000 ThankYou Points → 1,250 Wyndham points (standard rate is 1,000:1,000).
Transfer only with a specific redemption already identified. Neither program has strong aspirational value as a speculative hold.

🟡 CSR 150K bonus: 4 days left (June 15, 9 AM EDT)

The Chase Sapphire Reserve® currently offers 150,000 Ultimate Rewards points after $6,000 in purchases in the first 3 months from account opening — the card's highest-ever public offer. 3 TPG values the bonus at $3,075 at 2.05 cents per UR point. Annual fee is $795; the $300 annual travel credit offsets a significant portion in year one.
Eligibility note: Cannot currently hold the CSR. CSP holders can apply separately without voiding CSP eligibility. The cutoff is June 15 at 9:00 AM EDT — not end of day.
The CSP/CSR fork: Yesterday's 4:3 Hyatt ratio change makes the CSR's preserved 1:1 Hyatt transfer a concrete differentiator for the first time. If you hold a CSP and regularly redeem UR at Hyatt properties, the next 4 days are the tightest window to apply for the CSR while both the 150K bonus and the 1:1 ratio are simultaneously available. Reddit's r/awardtravel community flagged this connection directly — multiple users in the Hyatt 4:3 thread mentioned the CSR deadline as their next action. 1

Alaska Airlines: Saver earning closed as of today; partner fee up July 1

Alaska Saver fares (X class) booked from today forward no longer earn Atmos Rewards points for travel on or after August 1, 2026. 15 Saver fares already booked — including those purchased yesterday — continue to earn at the 30% rate. Flights departing before August 1 are also unaffected regardless of when the ticket was issued.
The next Alaska deadline is July 1: the partner award booking fee rises from $12.50 to $20 per person per direction (a 60% increase). 15 Alaska, Hawaiian, and Horizon-operated flights are exempt — the fee applies to partner-metal bookings on Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, British Airways, and others. If you have a partner award in the queue for this summer or fall, issuing it before July 1 saves $7.50 per person per direction.

🟢 Chase UR → Virgin Atlantic 30% — active through July 14

Chase Ultimate Rewards → Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at 30% bonus, launched June 9, runs through July 14. 13 Economy saver awards between the US and UK start at 6,000 Flying Club points one-way; with the bonus, you transfer roughly 5,000 UR per person. Upper Class (business) one-way runs approximately 35,000 Flying Club points → about 27,000 UR needed with the 30% uplift. Virgin Atlantic doesn't serve SFO nonstop, but Flying Club miles redeem on Delta, which operates transatlantic routes from SFO.

Lufthansa First partner space: still unconfirmed

The June 10 Reddit report that Lufthansa First Class partner award space was closed remains unconfirmed as of this morning. 16 No Lufthansa official statement, no second data point from Aeroplan, United, or Turkish. LH First is accessible from SFO via Frankfurt or Munich connections on those three programs. If you have a pending LH First redemption, verify current availability in your booking tool before assuming it's still accessible.

PAL oneworld roadmap: still unconfirmed

The June 9 Reddit insider post describing Philippine Airlines' oneworld integration timeline remains single-source and unconfirmed. 17 No official PAL or oneworld statement has followed. The post described a target of June 30, 2027, for full membership with reciprocal earning. PAL operates SFO–Manila nonstop. Nothing actionable until there is an official announcement.
