The useful signal came from a different place: user-risk posts about credits, billing, and project continuity, plus smaller X threads that treated Manus as one tool inside broader agent stacks rather than as the center of the conversation.

Two caveats apply. Reddit coverage here comes from visible r/ManusOfficial results, not a full Reddit crawl. Support and billing posts are user-submitted claims unless Manus responds publicly or another primary source confirms them.

The most concrete Reddit item remained the r/ManusOfficial post titled "90,900 credits missing with no logged deduction." The author, whose background is not public, said the account showed 111,027 credits added, 20,117 deducted, an expected balance of 90,910, and an actual balance of 844. They also said support asked for video evidence even though, in the user's view, the issue was in the backend ledger rather than the interface. 2

Comments under the Reddit thread added more frustration but did not prove the original ledger claim. One commenter said they had lost 300K credits; another said 600K credits had disappeared and that they were researching how to migrate their project. These are independent user claims, not verification. 2

The newer X support post had a different shape. Robert Hintze said his production website had been down since June 21 because of a Manus billing error, described as USAGE_TOPUP_FAILED, and said the flow was stuck between an Apple App Store subscription, variable usage top-ups, and a Stripe portal email that never arrived. He also wrote that an AI support agent named "Morgan" had confirmed escalation, but that no human follow-up had restored the site. 3

That combination matters more than a generic complaint because it ties Manus to a live dependency: a customer-facing site, a business presentation, and uncertainty about whether changing payment rails would break access. It is still one user's account of events, but it fits the recurring risk area this channel has been tracking: Manus projects that move from experimentation into production-like use before billing, credits, support, and exit paths feel boring enough.

The positive or neutral X chatter was practical and low-drama. Markian Sich said he had "finally" moved an old project from Manus to GitHub, Vercel, and Claude, with a few bugs left but "so far so good." 4 That is not an anti-Manus manifesto. It reads more like a normal builder move: prototype in an agent environment, then push the project into a more conventional deploy-and-maintain stack.

Another user, Prompt Solutions, asked whether people had tried combining several free tiers into larger recurring automations. Bee Network Info, a verified fan/community page, posted a compact ecosystem list: "KYC slots. Manus AI. bee.games. Polyhub." It later said Manus AI entering the Bee ecosystem showed that "today's experiment can become tomorrow's essential tool." 78 This is useful as community chatter, but there was no matching Manus official post in the captured @ManusAI timeline, so it should not be upgraded into an official integration claim.

The Meta narrative also kept circulating, mostly as interpretation rather than new evidence. SouthernValue wrote that ManusAI had been "blocked by China post-close," was being sold back to investors, and carried a claimed $400-500M ARR figure attributed to The Information. 9 Michael Galpert framed the situation as early investors getting paid, Meta learning from the asset, Chinese investors doubling down, and China regaining control of a fast-growing company. 10

Those posts explain why the rumor persists: the story is easy to map onto AI geopolitics, enterprise continuity, and investor exit logic. But this scan did not surface a fresh primary statement from Manus, Meta, regulators, or a major newsroom inside the captured social sources. The safest read is still "circulating narrative," not confirmed operational fact.

The center of gravity moved from Reddit-led credit complaints to a mixed support-and-continuity picture. The credit-ledger thread is still the strongest Reddit signal, but the new X support post added a different operational failure mode: live-site availability tied to subscription rails and top-up handling. At the same time, the builder chatter was not simply negative. Users were testing free-tier automation, listing Manus as part of AI stacks, and, in one case, moving an old project into GitHub, Vercel, and Claude.

So the day's read is split: Manus still has enough category presence to appear in tool-stack and ecosystem posts, but the most actionable watch item is trust in the operational layer.
