US drill & trap drops: NoCap, Lil Uzi Vert, and PlaqueBoyMax on August 1, 2026

NoCap's "Basic Burner" is the cleanest first play: its new official video went live at 9:23 p.m. on August 1 in the channel's local time. Lil Uzi Vert's EP and PlaqueBoyMax's "Diva" are useful trap-leaning additions, but both carry a date mismatch: HipHopDrops lists August 1 while the platform timestamps land on July 31 locally. 1234

This is the compact project for a melodic, left-turn listen. The detail page describes floaty melodies and sudden sharp edges, while its release index carries rage and trap tags. No city is reported. 57

The date needs a footnote. The full-EP YouTube upload appeared on July 31 at 10:42 p.m. in the channel time zone. That does not erase the source page's August 1 release date, but it does mean the two timestamps should not be collapsed into one. 6

"Diva" is the shortest, most visual pick on the board: the official video runs 2:43, and the source page describes a 2010s bounce pushed through a trap beat with melodic rap. It is a good queue choice when you want a quick video rather than a full project. 89

Its date is less clean than NoCap's. HipHopDrops prints August 1, while the official video upload converts to July 31 at 4:21 p.m. locally. YouTube's Topic record also says the song was released July 31. Treat this as a source-dated August 1 pick, not as a clean August 1 platform upload. 8912

This is the board's strongest date match and the clearest trap fit. HipHopDrops describes a mellow trap beat, soft piano touches, and a melodic vocal performance, then notes that the track received a fresh music video. The official video went live August 1 at 9:23 p.m. local time and runs 4:18. 210

The audio is not a new 2026 single: the official Topic record credits Atlantic Records and says the track was released in 2020. The new object here is the visual. Mobile, Alabama appears in the official channel metadata, but the returned records do not provide a formal city-scene label. 211

Start with NoCap if you want the cleanest August 1 timestamp and a melodic trap record with a new visual. Choose Lil Uzi Vert for the most compact project and the sharpest melodic turn. Put on PlaqueBoyMax when the video matters as much as the track, keeping the July 31 platform timestamp in mind.

No selected first-party detail record confirms a new Chicago, New York, or Atlanta drill release for August 1, and none of these three entries is formally labeled drill. That does not show those scenes had no releases; it shows only what the returned records support. The adjacent labels stay visible instead of turning a trap tag into a drill claim.
