Anthropic launched Claude Corps, committing $150 million to a national fellowship program that will train 1,000 early-career workers and embed them full-time inside US nonprofits for 12 months each.1
Fellows receive an $85,000 annual salary plus benefits, a generous Claude token budget, and five hours of weekly training from Anthropic and CodePath — America's largest college CS-education nonprofit, which acts as the employer of record. Social Finance, a registered investment advisor, handles measurement and financial structuring to enable the program to scale.
The first cohort of 100 fellows starts October 2026, with applications closing July 17. Applications remain open on a rolling basis for January 2027 (cohort 2) and August 2027 (cohort 3). Any US work-authorized person over 18 with under two years of full-time experience can apply; relocation support is available.
The inaugural host roster covers 400+ organizations. Named examples include the International Rescue Committee, Code for America, RAINN (sexual assault hotline), Year Up United, Goodwill Industries International, and YMCA of Greater Charlotte.
Anthropic's stated intent goes beyond the 1,000-fellow number. The company says it plans to open-source the program's core technology and infrastructure so others can replicate the model, and to expand internationally after proving the US version.

DXC Technology: Claude inside the world's regulated infrastructure
Also on June 11, Anthropic announced a multi-year global alliance with DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), one of the largest IT services firms in the world.2
DXC operates mission-critical IT systems for banks, airlines, insurers, manufacturers, and government agencies across 70 countries, with a workforce of 115,000. The alliance centers on three commitments:
- Forward-deployed engineers: DXC will recruit from its existing engineering teams and certify them through Anthropic Academy in 90 days. Certified engineers will be embedded inside customer environments to implement agentic Claude workflows in production.
- DXC OASIS: Claude is already the default model powering this AI-native orchestration platform for managed services, which DXC launched in April 2026 and has deployed across 50+ customers. Claude generated more than 95% of OASIS's code, and DXC says that cut development time by 10×.3
- Global Premier status: DXC joins the Claude Partner Network at the highest tier, alongside Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, and Infosys. The alliance's initial focus areas are insurance (agentic claims and core-systems modernization), legacy code modernization, cybersecurity (SOC subagents built on Claude Security), and application services.
The practical angle for enterprise buyers: DXC's "Customer Zero" philosophy means the company ran Claude inside its own 115,000-person organization under production-grade security requirements before selling it to clients. Regulated industries — particularly financial services and aviation — have historically required that kind of internal proof-of-concept before approving a vendor's AI stack.

Amodei's ABC News interview: taxes on AI, China distrust, Mythos explanation
On June 10, Dario Amodei gave ABC News an exclusive interview expanding on the policy framework published the same day — and went further than the written documents on several points.4
On labor displacement, Amodei described a tiered response: near-term measures like wage insurance and retention incentives, followed if necessary by "raising the capital gains tax" and "taxes on AI companies or the corporate tax in general." The latter is a direct departure from the written Economic Policy Framework, which frames redistribution mechanisms more abstractly.
On AI pauses, Amodei said he would support an industry-wide pause only if all major AI players — including geopolitical adversaries — agreed and the agreement was verifiable: "I don't trust China at all." He used Claude Mythos as his illustrative case: "Imagine if China had built Mythos. They would have used it to attack us." This is the most detailed public explanation Amodei has given for why Anthropic released Mythos Preview with restricted access rather than as a public model — the decision was framed as a geopolitical judgment, not purely a safety one.
On government authority, Amodei reiterated his written framework position but added the burden-of-responsibility framing: "We have to figure out how to make this technology reliably. But the onus primarily falls on us."
