SF Bay Area Events: Wed June 10 evening + all of Thu June 11
Belle & Sebastian Night 2 at The Masonic, Valencia LIVE! night market, Laverne Cox memoir talk, and 30+ more Thu events.

Coverage: Wed June 10, 5 PM onward — Thu June 11, 2026, full day.
No tech events tonight (normal mid-week post-conference lull), but Wednesday evening has a full cultural card: rock, punk, comedy, and a circus. Thursday opens up across the board — Belle & Sebastian plays If You're Feeling Sinister in full at The Masonic, the Mission hosts its monthly street party, Laverne Cox brings her memoir to Sydney Goldstein Theater, and the Exploratorium opens its summer exhibition for its first after-dark night. The standout tech events are both restricted: ClickHouse + Hex is full/waitlist, and Vector Space Day SF costs $199.
Wednesday, June 10 — evening (5 PM onward)

Wednesday evening picks
La Bamba (Fogcutter Film Series Vol. 22) is the most complete evening package on Wednesday: doors at 5:30 PM, live opening set by Flaco el Jandro (whose 2025 EP Salaztlán landed on Vogue México's 30 Best Latin Music Albums list) at 6 PM, then the 1987 Ritchie Valens biopic at 7 PM. Host Chuck Prophet (formerly of Green on Red, songs covered by Solomon Burke and Heart) emcees. Free whiskey while supplies last at the 4 Star Theater. 1
Jeff Rosenstock at Bottom of the Hill is all-ages punk, doors at 8 PM, music at 9 PM. Early bird tickets were $10; advance runs $15.81–$30.81. If you want a sweaty, honest rock show on a Wednesday, this is the call. 2
Searows at The Independent drew enough demand for a second added show — Portland-based artist on the "Death in the Business of Whaling" US tour, support from Mori (New York). $1 from every ticket goes to PLUS1 for Palestinian humanitarian aid and LGBTQ youth services. Tickets $33.50–$110.08 (VIP soundcheck experience available). 3
Hedwig and the Angry Inch at NCTC continues its run through June 14 — 7:30 PM Wednesday. Bay Area performers trixxie carr and Samuel del Rosario alternate the roles of Hedwig and Yitzhak. SF Chronicle gave it its highest rating. If you haven't gone yet, this is the second-to-last week. 4
Bad Education (35mm) screens at 8:10 PM at the Roxie as part of "Bleak Week: Cinema of Despair" (in partnership with American Cinematheque). Pedro Almodóvar's 2004 noir-melodrama stars Gael García Bernal in a triple role, set in Franco-era Spain. Spanish with English subtitles, 1h46m. Also co-presented by RoxCine and OUTlook. 5
Free punk at Kilowatt (7 PM, 21+): Hoarse, Tripoli, and Vetch on the bill. No cover. DIY poster aesthetic. 6
