Apple Leaks Digest — June 2, 2026: iOS 27 splits your dinner bill, iPhone 18 Pro battery figures land, and the Ultra gets a vapor chamber

Bloomberg reveals iOS 27 will add a receipt-scanning bill splitter and custom Wallet pass creator to Apple Cash. Digital Chat Station (corroborated by Ice Universe) puts the iPhone 18 Pro battery at 4,056 mAh (physical SIM) or 4,288 mAh (eSIM), with the larger cell coming to Europe for the first time. Fixed Focus Digital confirms a vapor chamber inside the iPhone Ultra and says the September launch is still on track, with more Ultra details teased for Tuesday.

Six days before WWDC, Apple's pre-show leak cadence hit a new high. Monday brought a Bloomberg exclusive on two incoming Apple Wallet features, a hard battery figure from Weibo's most reliable supply chain source — corroborated by Ice Universe — and the first credible confirmation that the iPhone Ultra will carry a vapor chamber. Here is what landed in the past 24 hours.

iOS 27 Wallet: receipt-scanning bill splitter and custom passes

Mark Gurman published a Bloomberg exclusive Monday afternoon1 detailing two Apple Wallet features expected to ship with iOS 27 in September.
The first is a receipt-scanning bill-splitting tool inside Wallet and Messages. A person who paid the full check at a restaurant takes a photo of the receipt, assigns individual items to people in the group, and generates Apple Cash payment requests. The feature takes direct aim at Venmo and Splitwise.2 Because it is tied to Apple Cash, it is likely U.S.-only at launch.
The second feature, first reported in May and now confirmed by Bloomberg, is called "Create a Pass." Users can scan a physical movie ticket, concert pass, or gym membership card and turn it into a digital Wallet pass — closing the gap for venues and clubs that have never bothered to build their own app integration.3
Credibility: Very high. Gurman has an essentially perfect track record on iOS feature reporting. Both items are now corroborated by multiple outlets and should be announced at the June 8 keynote.

iPhone 18 Pro battery: two different cells depending on your market

Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station posted what he says are the iPhone 18 Pro's battery figures, and Ice Universe — one of the most reliably accurate hardware leakers — corroborated them Tuesday morning.4

The numbers: 4,056 mAh in physical SIM variants, 4,288 mAh in eSIM-only models — roughly 36–68 mAh above the iPhone 17 Pro depending on configuration. On paper that is modest. But Apple is expected to pair this with the A20 Pro on TSMC's 2nm process, where power efficiency gains should compound the raw capacity increase by a wide margin.
The more interesting detail is geographic. The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to bring eSIM-only support to European markets for the first time. That means EU buyers who have historically received the smaller physical-SIM configuration will move to the larger 4,288 mAh cell — a quiet but meaningful upgrade for a large market that has been shortchanged on capacity since Apple split its battery configs by region.
On the Pro Max side, earlier Digital Chat Station leaks suggested 5,100–5,200 mAh for eSIM models and roughly 5,000 mAh for physical SIM variants, consistent with the same regional split.
Credibility: Medium-high. Digital Chat Station has a solid track record on battery figures. Ice Universe's corroboration adds weight. Apple has not confirmed.

iPhone Ultra: vapor chamber confirmed, September launch still on track

Chinese leaker Fixed Focus Digital posted on Weibo Monday, revealing that the iPhone Ultra will include a vapor chamber — the first time that feature has been reported for the device.5 Apple already added vapor chambers to the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max last year alongside the switch to aluminum; the move resolved the sustained-performance throttling that plagued the 15 Pro and 16 Pro under load.
Getting a vapor chamber into the iPhone Ultra is a more impressive engineering feat than it sounds. The device is at least 1.1mm thinner than the iPhone Air5 and has a titanium chassis, a material that dissipates heat less readily than aluminum. A vapor chamber addresses the thermal concern that the thinner, titanium body would otherwise create.
Fixed Focus Digital also said that, despite the well-documented production setbacks earlier this year (SMT yield issues and hinge durability problems), all current signals point to a September launch remaining on track. The leaker added that more Ultra-related information would follow the next day.
Credibility: Medium. Fixed Focus Digital is a known and reasonably reliable Weibo leaker on Apple foldable coverage, but has a shorter verified track record than Gurman or Kuo. The September timing is independently supported by Gurman.

iPhone Ultra color: white confirmed, second color likely indigo

Earlier Monday, Ice Universe posted an image on Weibo that MacRumors reported as the first "confirmed" view of an iPhone Ultra color.6 The unit shown is white and is described as likely a dummy model rather than retail hardware — the device has entered early mass production but full production is still ramping.
Leaker Instant Digital, who has detailed the Ultra's design extensively since February, has said white is so far the only color that has been confirmed internally. The second option is widely expected to be an indigo similar to the iPhone 17 Pro's Deep Blue, based on a separate supply chain source cited by Macworld.6 Gurman has previously said Apple plans to "stay away from fun colors" for the foldable, mirroring the iPhone X launch strategy of two restrained finishes.
A limited palette is not a surprise given the production constraints. Ming-Chi Kuo warned in December 2025 that manufacturing challenges could limit supply through at least the end of 2026; adding more colors would increase per-unit complexity on an already difficult device.
Credibility: Medium-high. Ice Universe and Instant Digital are two independent leakers pointing at the same color set, and Gurman's earlier characterization aligns. The specific dummy image is unverified hardware, but color-leaning intelligence is consistent across sources.

What to watch next: WWDC opens June 8. iOS 27 developer beta 1 will drop the same day, and any of these pre-announced Wallet features will either appear in the build or quietly disappear. Fixed Focus Digital teased additional iPhone Ultra details for Tuesday, which may land before our next digest.
