Paris, May 31, 2026. PSG won the Champions League. The parade came through the streets. Eight hundred thousand people lined the route. Simultaneously, police arrested 780 people across France, most of them in the Paris area. There were fires. There were clashes. The Times of India headline said: Paris Burns As PSG's Champions League Victory Celebration Turns Violent.

The trophy parade and the riots happened at exactly the same time, in exactly the same city.
