The FGC had a packed June 8–12. SNK quietly fired off a Season 3 tease while Season 2 is still wrapping up, Marvel Tokon just put three legendary villains in our faces before its August launch, and Hunter × Hunter: Nen × Impact is closing its first season pass in style. Oh, and Topanga Championship 7 already has one of its most dramatic early storylines.
Card 1 — Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Is Getting a Season 3
SNK dropped a mysterious animated teaser on June 8 — no text, no title, just a figure walking into a boxing ring to face Tizoc. The silhouette, the setting, the attitude: it's almost certainly Rick Strowd, the "White Wolf of the Ring" from Real Bout Fatal Fury 2.
What makes this extra spicy: Season 2 isn't even finished yet. Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star) is still the final unreleased Season 2 character. SNK did the exact same thing with Wolfgang Krauser — teased Season 2 before Season 1 was done. History is repeating.
Current Season 2 lineup: Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, Wolfgang Krauser, Mr. Karate (released May 27) — with Kenshiro still pending.
Card 2 — Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Reveals the Knights of Doom
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls — the 4v4 tag-team brawler from the PS5 Direct lineup — dropped its Knights of Doom trailer this week: Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage confirmed as a villain faction. The game launches August 6, 2026 on PS5 and PC.
Three of Marvel's most iconic big-bads arriving as a coordinated reveal is a clear signal that team composition and thematic groupings are going to be a core marketing play. The hype around this one has been building since the initial reveal, and the tournament community is already eyeing it for post-EVO 2026 season events.
Card 3 — Zeno Zoldyck Closes Out Hunter × Hunter: Nen × Impact Season Pass 1
Arc System Works and Bushiroad confirmed Zeno Zoldyck as the 4th and final character in Season Pass 1, arriving June 18, 2026. He comes with a mix of up-close martial arts pressure and his signature long-range Dragon Head beam — speed AND range in one package.
The catch: there's no Season Pass 2 announced. Given the game's relatively niche footprint outside hardcore circles, the Nen × Impact community is hoping for an EVO 2026 announcement to keep the roadmap alive. The base game and deluxe edition are currently 40% off on PlayStation.
Previous Season Pass 1 characters: Shizuku, Neferpitou, Phinks.
