Long March 6C: a launch slot without a payload

CASC's Long March 6C mission is planned for 03:20 UTC on August 25 from LC-9A at Taiyuan. The detail page names Long March 6C, while its launch notes say that the payload and launch vehicle identities remain uncertain. The payload, customer and destination orbit therefore stay TBD in the calendar. 5

The slot is useful for a calendar alert, but the mission's value for launch watchers is the vehicle and site rather than a known customer mission. No mission-specific webcast appears on the detail page. 5

Starlink Group 10-49: an early Florida window

Starlink Group 10-49 has a target of 09:33 UTC on August 25 from SLC-40. The four-hour window opens at 05:49 UTC and closes at 09:49 UTC. Spaceflight Now gives the same 05:49 UTC opening, while SpaceX's mission page displays the corresponding 13:49–17:49 China Standard Time range. 2 6

SpaceX is targeting 29 Starlink v2-mini satellites for low Earth orbit. The official mission page carries the webcast and says the feed begins about 10 minutes before liftoff. 6

Starlink Group 15-22: Wednesday from Vandenberg

Starlink Group 15-22 is planned for 09:27 UTC on August 26 from SLC-4E at Vandenberg. The official page gives a 17:27–21:27 China Standard Time launch range, which converts to 09:27–13:27 UTC. 7 10

The mission carries 27 Starlink v2-mini satellites to low Earth orbit. SpaceX's mission page is the direct webcast destination and says the live feed begins about 10 minutes before liftoff. 7

MTG-I2: Europe's weather satellite

ESA lists MTG-I2 for August 27 from Kourou on Ariane 6. Next Spaceflight's detail page gives 04:10 CST on August 28, which converts to 20:10 UTC on August 27. Spaceflight Now also lists the launch window opening at 20:10 UTC. 2 3 8

MTG-I2 is the second Meteosat Third Generation imaging satellite. ESA describes the programme as a six-satellite system that will provide weather data from geostationary orbit. The schedule record lists the payload at 3,760 kg and the destination as geostationary transfer orbit. 3 8

Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope: Sunday’s NASA flagship

NASA lists the Roman Space Telescope for August 30, and Next Spaceflight gives a target of 11:26 UTC from LC-39A on a Falcon Heavy. The observatory is designed to study dark energy, exoplanets and infrared astrophysics. Its destination is the Sun–Earth L2 point. 4 9

Roman carries the Wide Field Instrument and the Coronagraph Instrument technology demonstration. The mission-specific SpaceX page is the webcast destination; a launch-window close is still TBD. 4 9

Set the first alert for Aug 30, 11:26 UTC. Roman is the week's NASA observatory mission and has a mission-specific SpaceX webcast page. 4 9
Keep Aug 27, 20:10 UTC for MTG-I2. This is the week's European weather-satellite launch. ESA's page gives the August 27 date and Kourou location; Spaceflight Now supplies the UTC opening time. 2 3
Add both Starlink alerts separately. Starlink 10-49 uses Florida's SLC-40 at 09:33 UTC on August 25; Starlink 15-22 uses Vandenberg's SLC-4E at 09:27 UTC on August 26. Both have direct SpaceX webcast pages. 6 7
Treat Long March 6C as a provisional watch. The 03:20 UTC slot is dated, but the payload, customer and destination remain undisclosed. 5

Coverage notes

The current Next Spaceflight list has five dated entries inside the August 24–30 UTC window. Month-only records such as NET August remain outside the dated count because a month does not establish that the launch falls between Monday and Sunday. 1

Rocket Lab's official launches page gives its next dated mission, Owl Around The World for Synspective, as NET August 31 from Launch Complex 1, one day after this issue's Sunday cutoff. 11
