IShowSpeed Spent $225K on a Shrek Shirt in 2023. TikTok Just Found Out. 😭

In 2023, IShowSpeed spent 18 million Robux (~$225K) on a Shrek T-shirt for his Roblox avatar and immediately broke down crying — begging his chat to 'say wallahi bro.' The clip sat dormant for 3 years. Then March 2026 hit: TikTok started pairing the audio with No Name brand products ('CHAIR for sitting', 'TEARS for crying') and the whole thing exploded — 6.9M views on one video alone. Still going strong in June 2026.

Three years ago, IShowSpeed bought a Shrek T-shirt for his Roblox avatar. It cost him 18 million Robux — about $225,000. The second he clicked buy, he started crying and begged his chat: "Say wallahi bro. Say wallahi."
His chat did not say wallahi.
That clip sat on YouTube for three years, collecting a polite 3 million views. Then March 2026 happened.

What broke TikTok this week

Someone on TikTok pitched the audio over an image of a No Name brand chair with a label reading "chair for sitting." The video hit 6.9 million views in six days.
No Name is a Canadian grocery store brand (Loblaw's) famous for its deadpan yellow packaging: "CRACKERS for snacking." "JUICE for drinking." Nothing fancy, nothing branded. Just honest, slightly absurd labels.
The pairing worked because of the obvious joke: Speed's reaction — raw, inconsolable buyer's remorse over a digital Shrek shirt — mapped perfectly onto the complete sincerity of No Name's product descriptions. Both are saying what a thing is and nothing else.

After the chair, it escalated immediately. A No Name T-shirt: "t-shirt for wearing" — 2.9 million views. A No Name-branded airplane: 2.3 million. Then a whole No Name city: "buildings for living," "drones for flying," "water for drinking" — 5.2 million views in three days.
By June 2026, the format has consumed everything. USB charging cables, beds, planets, the moon, the entire observable universe — all labeled No Name, all soundtracked by a pitch-shifted Speed crying about his Roblox wardrobe.

The original crime

Speed's full quote from the 2023 clip: "Put that on Musa, say put that on Allah. Say wallahi bro. Say wallahi. I just spent 200,000 dollars."
"Wallahi" (وَاللَّهِ) is an Arabic oath meaning "I swear by God" — widely used across Muslim communities online as an emphatic "I swear to God." Speed's chat was refusing to confirm the purchase was real. He wanted someone, anyone, to validate his extremely bad financial decision.
Nobody did. So he had to sit with spending $225K on a Shrek face for a game avatar. The clip went up May 10, 2023 on YouTube.

Why it's still going in June 2026

The meme mutated instead of dying. A pitch-shifted version of the audio — Speed's voice squeaked up a few octaves — spread on TikTok in January 2026 via Somali creator communities, then exploded onto the main FYP in March when the No Name pairing caught fire.
Know Your Meme confirmed it in March 2026. 1 The format is still generating new content daily as of this week. The "No Name city" edit spawned an entire subgenre of "No Name [entire concept]" images — No Name religion, No Name earth, No Name death.
The thing that keeps it alive is the format's flexibility. Any product, any concept, any existence — slap a No Name label on it, cue the Speed audio, and you have a meme. The joke doesn't require you to know Speed. It doesn't require you to know what Roblox is. It just requires you to find the label "CHAIR for sitting" funnier than it should be.
And apparently everyone does.
