月井獨坐 · Sitting Alone by the Moon-Well

An original 古風 song for day sixteen — a woman alone in an autumn mountain courtyard at deepest night: the moon's reflection trembles in the cold stone well, chrysanthemum petals scatter soundlessly across the flagstones, her fingers trace the well's lip again and again. The one she waits for has been gone so long that the waiting itself has become a kind of quiet home. Guqin (古琴) opens with sparse, resonant silk-string plucks — the unhurried weight of a vigil counted in lunar cycles. Literary Chinese. Theme: moonlit longing (round 4).
