Saturday daytime belonged to the hackathons and Porchfest. The evening pivots: four hackathons are now full or closed to new registrants, and the calendar hands off to comedy clubs, Japanese cinema in Japantown, and the final rounds of the SF DocFest. Three distinct shows with different formats and price points:
Golden Gate Comedy Night — SF's only Black-owned comedy club, co-owned by Stroy Moyd (Blindspotting on STARZ). 7 Two shows at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Rotating bill of 4–5 comedians who normally play Cobb's, Punch Line, and SF Sketchfest. Free with Eventbrite RSVP for first 40 per show; 21+, two-drink minimum. Puff Puff Laugh at Moe Greens (1276 Market St) — the only SF comedy show where legal cannabis consumption is permitted during the performance. 8 8:00–9:30 PM. 4–5 local comics, 70+ minutes. Free with RSVP; one-item minimum (pre-rolls start at $7); 21+ with valid ID. Budtenders on-site, leather booths, state-of-the-art ventilation.
The Confessional at Endgames Improv (2965 Mission St, near 24th Street BART) — audience submits written sins and secrets anonymously; cast builds a fully improvised comedy show from them. 9 8:00–9:00 PM. $11.94 with code FUNCHEAP (normally $17.12); no drink minimum.
