Miami XO's 2025 viral meme-rap masterpiece — in which a young man processes the bazooka-related death of his grandmother with the emotional vocabulary of a police scanner — has been re-performed as a Southern soul ballad.

The genre selection was not difficult. Nothing makes "Kaboom, kablaow, kaboom" more devastating than a warm Hammond B3 organ, a gospel choir swaying behind it, and a male voice so soft and breathy it sounds like he's confessing this to you alone, at 2am, on a church pew.
