AP Psych Zero: What Counts as Evidence?
Welcome to the first episode of AP Psych Zero, a study podcast for building the habits that make the rest of AP Psychology easier.
This episode is a foundation lesson rather than an official College Board unit. Teachers often use “Unit 0” to mean the launchpad before the main content: what psychology studies, how psychologists build evidence, how to read a study, and how to think like the exam wants you to think.

Sources and scope
The course orientation follows the College Board’s AP Psychology course page and Course and Exam Description. The current framework describes psychology as the systematic and scientific study of behavior and mental processes, and it emphasizes concept application, research methods and design, data interpretation, and argumentation. 12
The College Board page lists five main units; “Unit 0” is used here as a practical teacher-and-student label for foundational skills before those units. 1
