This is a fictional voicemail, turned into a song.

“Please call the number that you see.” The collection office repeats Elena's name four times, moving past a rinsed coffee cup, a faded receipt, and a sugar jar that still holds a spare key. The ordinary instructions stay in the room long enough for the harder truth to arrive: the machine is the only voice still calling her by name.

Sparse upright piano, a close and restrained vocal, and a thin late cello make room for the repetition to become its own kind of ache. Listen when you want a small, unresolved song about an empty apartment and the voices that remain there.
