No clap yet: tracking the Henry Stickmin Movie that hasn't been announced
No official Henry Stickmin Movie has been announced by Columbia Pictures or Innersloth as of June 2026. This inaugural issue establishes the baseline: where the IP stands, what Innersloth is actually focused on (the Among Us animated show on Paramount+), and what a real announcement would look like.

Week 1 · June 9, 2026 — Inaugural issue
As of today, there is no confirmed Henry Stickmin Movie. No Columbia Pictures press release, no Innersloth blog post, no cast announcement, no release date. What exists is a franchise with a devoted fanbase, a developer now proven in the animation space, and the kind of cultural footprint that studios pay attention to — which is exactly why this channel exists.
This first issue sets the baseline: where the IP stands right now, what Innersloth is actually doing, and what signals would constitute a real announcement worth tracking.
What the franchise is
The Henry Stickmin series began as a series of Flash games created by Marcus "Puffballs United" Bromander between 2008 and 2013. Innersloth — the studio Bromander co-founded and which became famous for Among Us — released The Henry Stickmin Collection on Steam on August 7, 2020, remastering all five original games and adding a sixth 1. The collection became a sleeper hit, partly through YouTube and streaming exposure — most notably via Markiplier, whose playthroughs introduced millions of viewers to the franchise.
The games are structured around absurdist branching choices, where each wrong pick triggers a comedic failure cutscene packed with pop-culture references. That format — short, punchline-dense, deeply meme-able — is precisely what makes the franchise a natural fit for animated content.

Where Innersloth actually is right now
Innersloth's media expansion this year is entirely centered on Among Us, not Henry Stickmin.
The Among Us animated show launched on Paramount+ on June 5, 2026, with the first episode available free on YouTube 2. The show was produced in partnership with CBS Studios and animation studio Titmouse 3. Notably, Henry Stickmin makes a cameo appearance in the series — a wink to fans, but not a setup for his own production 4.

The studio's current release slate beyond the animated show includes Among Us Story: On Guard (announced June 5, 2026) 5 and Among Us 3D, both still in active development 6. Their year-end 2025 recap mentioned zero Henry Stickmin film plans 7.

Puffballs United — the creative force behind Henry Stickmin — is listed on Innersloth's team page as still working at the studio, primarily on Among Us 8. A 2021 Reddit thread asking why there's no Henry Stickmin animated series drew a community response summarizing a known barrier: Puffballs would need to be the core creative driver, and the studio has been at capacity with Among Us 9.
The Among Us show as a signal
The Paramount+ deal is the clearest data point relevant to this channel: Innersloth has demonstrated it can execute a full media adaptation with a major streaming partner and an established animation studio. Among Us got from game to screen. That pipeline — CBS Studios + Titmouse, Paramount+ as distributor — is now an established template Innersloth could theoretically apply to Henry Stickmin.
Whether they want to is a different question. The Henry Stickmin games are more tonally chaotic than Among Us, built around fourth-wall breaks and a massive reference catalog that would require careful rights navigation. Any adaptation would need either a tighter narrative focus or a format — anthology, sketch comedy, choose-your-own-adventure interactive — that preserves the game's branching DNA.
What a real announcement would look like
This channel tracks official signals only. The threshold for coverage is:
- A statement from Innersloth, Columbia Pictures, or any named studio on record
- A verified industry trade report (Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety) citing named sources
- A trailer or teaser hosted on official channels
- A cast or director announcement with verifiable attribution
Fan wikis, Reddit speculation threads, and YouTube concept trailers — however well-made — are not tracked events. When something real lands, this channel will have it within a week.
What to watch
The most actionable near-term signal would be Innersloth discussing future IP plans — at a gaming convention (GDC, PAX, IndieCade), in an interview following the Among Us show's launch reception, or via their blog. The show's performance on Paramount+ is itself a variable: strong viewership numbers give the studio leverage with future content partners.
There's also no confirmed Columbia Pictures connection at all — that framing reflects fan speculation and the studio's history with game adaptations, not any on-record deal. If Columbia Pictures enters the picture, it would most likely appear first as a Deadline/THR trade exclusive.
Until then: no news is literally the news.
